tis the season to make a DIY x'mas tree

tis the season again...
and this year... even in the sleepy neighbourhood of the north...
there is action... there are moving lights...

WOW!

and this year, we are continuing the recycling / bargain hunting tradition...
no... we did not spend $10 at coles to buy a heavily discounted dead, chopped down x mas tree...
we just saved up a branch of winter pruning from the garden...
add last year's (and the year b4 that) x mas deco...
and here it is...

uchi bag sale

since coming back from snowflake's big day, i've been busily buzzing around...
the economic tsunami has triggered a retail sales tsunami too...
sale after sale after sale...
there was studibaker sale... george, spy and moss sale... scanlan and theodore sale... morrissey sale...
just had no time to document all the bargain hunts...
most recently, there was the uchi bag sale... in (the last) 5 minutes - courtesy of a 2 hr traffic jam - i scrambled the goods and walked out the door with these(see below)
cute handbag just enough to hold one's purse and packet of tissues... 3 for $10!

baby bags are the real bargains 2 for $40! great gift ideas for all the mums out there... excellent as stand alone backpacks...

large travel bags are great... just wished that they had other patterns... the sales-lady assured me that they didn't... so i had to settle with the pink number...
rrp$140, now only $40!

after 5 mins of frantic choosing, i found out i have another chance next week! another cnance for a good look at the makeup hangbags and small hold-alls
