bargain shopping for 2008 big event

snowflake is having her big day in november... snowflake has been approaching the organisation (incl shopping aspects) of this day like athletes training for beijing 08...

i have been spending countless weekends finding something to suit my meager allocated budget of 200 bucks! (to do what u ask? to dress up a MOH as ugly as possible so the bride would shine)...

unbelievably... we chanced on an item on sale at morrissey several weekends ago...

it was so unbelievable i had to buy 2 of the same dress in diff colours... and here i present the MOH dress...

a flowy 100% satin silk "cloud" (sky blue) dress to complement her full ivory dutchess silk satin couture dress... my dress is 40 times the cost of hers! and thus fits nicely into my budget of 200... 99/200, therefore i have 101 to spare for a pair of shoes or other accessories...

i came upon a bargain pair at myers for $39 (1/2 price)... it looks ok - not too cheap looking, although it actaully is quite cheap - considering it is made of all synthetic materials in china, complemented by some bling bling diamontes...

i bought the pair anyway (although the colour might be too dark for a spring big day)... i thought it might match the men's black jackets...

another 2 weeks on... still shoe shopping... i found more bargains (at places i never thought i would)... at sandler's outlet shop birkenhead...
i don't think i've bought sandlers b4...
but these don't really look like their signature ones...

more synthetic satin, more made in china, and more sparkles...

and small price tags - $20 buck a pair!! yep they don't match the dress, but the discount was a combined $159! how could i have walked out on that?
