my refashioned polo dress

this was dad's G-polo shirt... it was resting in the "household chores work clothes" pile...
now that i have acquired a sewing machine through card points... i wanted to refashion these fab and meaningful fabrics into wearable clothes instead of sacrificing them in my compost pile, or as floor rags, or life as dirty garden / cleaning clothes...

i took inspiration from my "tennis dress" (named during the current aussie open serena winning match...

my stitching was really bad (i purposedly used black thread in order to "see more properly"...
actaully black on yellow is a pretty good combo...
the result: my yellow flower tight dress...

i used every bit of the polo shirt to "lengthen" the "dress"... and it was a success!

now i have all my respect for the poor souls slaving away in front of sewing machines at sweat shops in china and india... sewing is super HARD! my refashioned polo dress took me 2 days (approx 4-5 hours!)
at cotton on they would be selling this for under $15!
